commit, or participates in the commission of any act or omission which gives an animal or

exhibitor an unfair advantage over another animal or exhibitor, which endangers persons or

animals, and/or which violates any terms, conditions, rules, regulations, requirements, ethics, or

policies of the Autauga County Fair may result in an animal, exhibitor, parent or guardian being

disqualified or declared ineligible, being banned from participating in future shows or events

and/or being forbidden from entering or remaining on the premises. Potential criminal violations

may be referred to an appropriate law enforcement agency. We further understand and agree that

if in the sole discretion of the show superintendent that if substantial evidence exists that an

animal has been tampered with, that animal may be declared ineligible.

Cattle Show Rules

Open Junior Beef Cattle Show is open only to Alabama residents who are at least 9 years

old and no older than 18 on the day of show. .

All cattle must be on the fairgrounds and checked in by 1:00 PM.

Check-In/Weigh-In will be from Noon – 1:00 PM. Show will begin promptly at 2:00 PM.

Showmanship will consist of three age groups, Junior (9-11), Intermediate (13-15) and

Senior (16-18). Exhibitors may use either a market steer or a heifer for showmanship.

Market Steers will be classed as equally as possible after weigh-in.

Heifer Classes will be divided into their respective breed divisions, given a minimum of 3

animals of the same breed are registered to show. All registered heifers whose respective

breed division does not “make” will show in the AOB Division.

Steers will be sorted into classes based on weight. Every effort will be made to keep steer

classes as competitive as possible.

areas.
